Whether it’s setting the strategic direction of a corporate communications program, or the line by line editing of a white paper…whether it’s coaching an executive for his time on camera or preparing speakers for an invitation only conference, Richard Shippee Communications is at your service.
We provide strategic advisory services for corporate executives and agencies on methods to target and reach different audiences, including industry executives, employees, media, and opinion leaders. Much of what we do is called Content Development, we usually call it putting pen to paper, keystrokes to screen. What we do is provide hands-on assistance with the writing and editing of internal and external documents including employee and customer communications, electronic newsletters, communications plans and processes. And more…we provide marketing assistance with the writing and editing of collateral for sales and branding. We also develop content and prepare speakers for conferences and trade shows.
Working directly with the media, or with PR agencies calls for experience and a clear mission. Our decades long background in public relations allows us to provide you with hands-on assistance with the writing, editing and distribution of press releases; the creation or review of media target lists, and media follow up. Also, assistance for media relations including interview scheduling, media coaching, interview monitoring and follow-up. It can go deeper than that, too. We provide strategic assistance to create or hone corporate messaging, to create public relations processes, to develop executive profiles and to work with marketing teams to coordinate their product and service launches with a media relations program.
From venues for mass entertainment events, to trade shows drawing tens of thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors, to multi-day or single day professional conferences with single or multi-track educational programs, to small group seminars and briefings, we’ve brought a deep degree of professional care and feeding to our clients in the demanding field of Event Management. We’ve worked with teams of event managers, service providers, agencies, advertisers and many others to help everyone think about the nature of the event, its purpose, its direction and execution, and, importantly, the follow-up and review of the event’s ROI (often a critically important and too often missing link).
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“Our national accounting firm doubled in size through a merger and the resulting combination included a new and complex marketing organization that required both rationalization and a development strategy. A key to this was the post-merger media program that Dick directed that involved a coordinated effort to select and train key expert spokespeople, develop media opportunities, direct outside agency activities, monitor and promote results internally. The company has also successfully added four additional firms under our corporate umbrella and Dick was an integral part of the PMI teams on each occasion.”
Michael MattiaPartner-in-Charge of Marketing, EisnerAmper LLP
“I relied on Dick’s skills in association marketing, content development and communications strategy which were critical in successfully reaching and influencing our audiences of both individual members and corporate sponsors. His efforts resulted in the creation of highly professional magazines and newsletters, conference materials and advertising copy. Our mission was to advance open systems computing and our communications were designed to reach the most senior leaders of the largest and most influential computer and software manufacturers in the nation. Dick’s efforts helped guide these communications and resulted in a loyal base of members, advertisers and exhibitors.”
